It is a Valvetronic actuator, responsible for regulating the variable opening of the intake valves in BMW engines. It receives signals from the Valvetronic motor and adjusts the eccentric shaft, thereby modulating valve lift to optimize performance and fuel consumption.

⚙️ Installation and maintenance
It is located in the cylinder head, under the valve cover, integrated into the Valvetronic system. Installation requires recalibrating/working the engine control software to function correctly. Its installation can take around 4–5 hours at a specialized workshop.
